About me...
My sister and Michael
I began learning about making cakes with my Aunt Rosa when I was a little girl . She let me help her and answered all the questions I had. As I got older, I continued to practice on a few cakes of my own.
In November of 2001, I found my real reason for making cakes. That was when my nephew, Michael, was born. At a young age, Michael was diagnosed with Barth Syndrome. It is a rare genetic disorder that affects about 115 families in the world. With his diagnosis, every birthday became a much more important celebration. I looked forward to making the best cake I could for every one of his birthdays. I loved watching his face when I would bring out his cake. Through it all, he remains the most amazing person I will ever know and he is my inspiration.
As our family grew, and I had children of my own, I began making more and more cakes. Now, I am making more and more cakes for many different individuals. With every cake I make, I try to incorporate a new technique. I love to try new things and love the challenge of making the best cakes that I can.
